looooooooooooooong night

My sweet baby Liv (who turns 9 months today) is sick. Yes, she's sick. This is the first time in her short little life that she's had a cold, and I just hate it! THIS IS WHY I DON'T DO DAYCARE OR NURSERY!

Liv got this wonderful cold from a little girl that was in the nursery with her during the wedding this Saturday. The ONE time I do it, and look what happens.....urgh....

So, last night was spent tossing and turning...for both of us. Poor baby had to learn to breathe out of her mouth and not have her sucky. My sheets are covered in snot, and I think I slept maybe 2 hours total. She was making noises all night long. It was like she was trying to get out of her skin...ya know how that feels? My poor baby...

I know, in the grand scheme of things, this is not a big deal. My reaction to this little cold will probably cause some laughs from my bloggie readers. BUT, my baby is sick....I hate it....period!

Anything that disrupts our routine is a big deal - even if it's only a cold. Lack of sleep always has a way of magnifying any little hiccup in our mommy world so don't feel bad.

That being said, when our kids get sick their immune systems are pushed into action. That's a good thing! Their little bodies need to learn to fight off those bad germs so take heart my friend...this too shall pass!

Happy Birthday Liv - feel better soon!

I'm not laughing. Having a sick baby (and being sick) sucks!

I hope you both feel better and are well rested soon!

Poor little Liv and poor Mommy too. I have a cold and I can hear Kayla getting congested today. I'm dreading it too. For them and me. :) It's awful when they're sick, especially when it's their first time.

I hope the cold passes quickly!

I hate it when my kids are sick too but this is the way to build up their immune system. Shaelyn was exposed to many things while she was in China but it was good for her. She is hardly ever sick now. I know it's a pain when they're sick but it will help her in the future.

I hear ya but I am so used to Landen having a snotty nose, as a matter of fact he did not have one for a long time and then he got one over the weekend while we were away.... it's so not fun, but just try to look at it this way, it wll build up her immune system that much more!

I hear ya on the nursery-thing. I'm avoiding it as long as possible for this very reason!! Hope she's feeling better soon...

Awww...poor Livie. I don't do nurseries either.....and that is why.

100-something year old pediatrician Dr. Leila Denmark says, "in the nursery on Sunday, in my office by Wednesday." It is so true.

(Moma to nine speaking here....) anyway I hope she feels better.
