Avery has had a loose tooth for a couple weeks now. She has been slowly wiggling it, and I thought we were doing everything right...letting it come out when it was ready.

BUT, then I looked in there today, and this is what I saw....her other tooth is popping through WAY behind and crooked! Look at that big thing! good grief! What am I supposed to do???? Please tell me this is normal? If not, tell me that too! The poor tooth doesn't seem like it will be ready to come out for a couple more days! grrrrr.....I want my beautiful girl to have a beautiful smile, and I'm nervous......

Hi,
The exact same thing happened to my daughter about 2 weeks ago. Our dentist told me that if the baby tooth did not fall out by the time the other tooth was half way up I should bring her back in to get the baby tooth pulled. She really did not want to have a tooth pulled so she wiggled like crazy and the baby tooth did (luckily) come out within a few days. The new tooth does still look a little crooked but I'm hoping it will straighten. Good luck!!!!

Don't worry! Jarren's tooth did exactly the same thing. His baby tooth did end up coming out before the dentist had to pull it, but the dentist told me not to worry about it being back so far because the tongue pushes it up where it's supposed to be. I thought this would probably take a long time, but it's only been about 3 weeks and I can see that it has moved up a lot already.
Also, I had about 5 teeth do this; either the permanent teeth came in behind or in front of the baby teeth. You'd never know it now, my teeth are really straight and I never had braces.

Yup, agree with the above two. Keep on wiggling or visit MR.Dentist. We actually had similar with Ben's bottom tooth(both his are very crooked). He let daddy just wrap a cloth around the tooth and yank and it popped right out. Hoping to give him more room to allow crowded ones to straighten out....still waiting...I know, I know.

The same thing happened with Tessa, with ALL her teeth. At one point she had 2 rows of front teeth on the bottom. The dentist said to just keep trying to get the baby teeth out. We did have to have some pulled out though, and it sucks because of it she will need braces, but she probably would have anyway. Oh they also pulled out 2 teeth on top and two teeth on the bottom because her mouth was so small. Just keep an eye on it.

It looks absolutely normal...even the crooked new tooth..New teeth always look like that. It will straighten up when she gets older. Also the old tooth will fall out too.

I know this because of my own experience with my teeth ;-) Also I've seen it happen by all my nephews and nieces.

Hope it will fall out soon!!
