this last week...
8:31 PMWe have had an eventful week at our house!!
Wednesday - dentist day. Avery had to have 2 cavities filled, and got separators in on her back teeth for her orthodontic work that she is having done. She was a super brave girl, and even got to have 4 prizes from Dr. Dan.
Thursday, the girls and I made the trek to Wisconsin to see Nana Dianne and Bapa Craig. What a long drive. The girls had their DVD player with ear phones, and mommy had some Nicholas Sparks audio books to listen to. It made the trip go much faster.
Friday, Bapa Craig had the day off! Nana and Bapa took the girls to Culver's for lunch, then Ramona and Beezus the movie, then McDonald's to play, and then we all met up at Chuck E Cheese's for some more fun! I didn't take my camera in, but I had to snap a photo of Bapa Craig on this horsey ride. Liv was on it, but she wasn't heavy enough for it to move, so Bapa tried it out. He even sat side-saddle...ha ha ha!
On Saturday, we went to a County Fair. The girls got to see a ton of animals; pigs, horses, rabbits, sheep, etc.
There were also tons of fun rides! This dragon roller coaster was their favorite!
Avery and I went up on this super high Ferris wheel. Neither one of us knew how high it actually was, but good grief...it was high...take a look at Nana, Bapa and Livie watching us from below!
and Avery, on top of the world...
Nana Dianne's friend was at the fair doing air brush tattoos, so the girls each got one! Liv, got a blue Tinkerbell...
and Avery got a red rose...
we stopped at the kiddie petting zoo area, and met Sparky the Pony.
After the fair, we drove even further to go to Wisconsin Dells! Mommy had to do some back to school shopping for the girls, so we all went and had fun at the mall! Avery talked Nana into doing the whole "Build-a-bear" thing...Avery chose a bunny she named Madison, and Liv chose a puppy she named Carly.
On the way back to Nana and Bapa's house, we stopped to visit Grandma Vicki! She was in a sad mood when we showed up, but when she heard the girls' voices, she lit up. Grandma really responds well to kids, and it was the same with Liv. Avery is a little shy, but not Liv!
Grandma Vicki loved to touch and cuddle with Madison and Carly, and the girls didn't mind sharing...
these next photos of Liv and Grandma are so precious....
it was such a great visit...always so hard to leave her...
Sunday was more spoiling from Nana and Bapa. All the girls went to the pool. Avery got to go down her first real water slide, and Liv also got to go down it as well, on Mama's lap.
Monday was Avery's allergy appointment. She had 4 skin tests, and also a blood draw. She was very brave! The photos below show what the skin test looks like when it's done, and then the other one is after about 10 minutes. The 2nd bump down was quite large...it's her ragweed allergy.
we look forward to finding out the results of her food allergies in a couple weeks...
Later on Monday, Nana took the girls to the pool again, and we went out for a fun supper downtown. Nana and Avery had a sleep over in the camper outside too!
We left early this morning, and it was a very long trip back home. Wish it was only an hour, that's for sure! We had a fabulous time, and hope to do it every year!
Thanks Nana and Bapa (and Sophie and Mesa)! We had a great time!
