HELP! I have an obsession...

I'll be the first to admit that I LOVE LOVE LOVE little girls clothes. It is a blast for me to get the cutest (cutest to me, that is) clothes for them, and dress them all up! It's one of my favorite things to do, as sad as that may sound!

I've been getting the girls' spring/summer clothes out, and just had to let you share in the obsession with me!

She's an EATER!

Ever since Liv has come along, we have been concerned that she would get the same allergies as Avery. It was recommended to us that we wait "as long as possible" for her to start on solids, just to help keep the allergies away. In the last couple of weeks, Liv has been very curious about everything we put into our mouth, and just has that kind of sad puppy dog look on her face when she sees us eating. So, we called the doctor today, and with her blessing, we tried Liv's first food...RICE CEREAL!

This cereal is kinda yummy, but I really wanna get my hands on that bowl!

Mommy said I did a pretty good job...I ate about 2/3 of my bowl!


Washin' it down! Whew...time to get cleaned up in my bath!

Irony...today, as I was hopping through my daily bloggie reads, I came across a photo on the Pauly's Pics & Prose of her adorable little girl, Julia, sleeping on her tummy. This startled me, as Liv has yet to want to sleep on her tummy, or even fallen asleep that way. So, some dialog went on between us bloggie mommies, and lo and behold...tonight, look what my little Livvie decided to do...

As Daddy was putting Avery to bed tonight, I overheard her being frustrated. She wanted to take all of her My Little Ponies to sleep with her, and daddy was telling her she should just bring 2 so there would be some room in her bed. I heard her do a loud GRRRRUNT. And an UGH! She then came out to the living room and told me what was going on..."Daddy's not letting me bring all my ponies to bed with me. He's so RUDE! That makes me angry. I stomp my foot like this (stomp) when he's rude! UGH!"

Needless to say, PG and I were laughing at this cute little 'explosion'

My Sweet Little Family's sweet little trip ~ Day 4

Our last day at Nana and Bapa's house was Sunday. Aunt Becky, Cousin Lilly, and Great Grandpa Myron came over for a visit! It was their first time meeting Olivia, and Grandpa hadn't seen Avery since she was one.

We took off for home about 1, with another stop to Coney Island! The girls slept in Nana's car to meet daddy, but when we switched cars, they were awake the rest of the way! It was great to see Daddy again, and it's great to be back at home! BUT...we sure do miss you Nana and Bapa!

Avery in the bathtub tonight..."Mommy, I'm gonna do what Jesus did to his disciple friends...he putted a bucket on the floor so he could wash their feet. Jesus was their servant."

My Sweet Little Family's sweet little trip ~ Day 3

I think this day was by far the busiest. Sorry for the 4 slide shows, but I love each picture!

Again, the girls got up early...7:30 to be exact. BUT, my wonderful mom let me have a 2 hour nap to catch up on some of my sleep! THANKS MOM!

We went to a couple of shops, and then...CONEY ISLAND! I completely forgot how much I loved this place growing up! They make the best hot dogs...MAN! Avery loved it too! She even said that it's better than Culver's, which is huge in her book!



Off to the Children's Museum in LaCrosse! It was the first time we had ever been there, and I am thrilled we took the time to check it out! We all had a blast! Lots of fun activities for children. Avery's favorite place was the fire truck exhibit. She liked putting out the fire! We spent probably 2 hours there, and by the time we were done, we were pooped and ready to go home.





Next on the agenda was a visit with some of my friends from High School. I have been really bad at keeping in touch with old friends, but lately thru myspace, I have come back in contact with a few. One of my favorites, Kim, and her cutie patootie son Landen came over along with another friend Sheri and her adorable girl Kyla. It had been close to 10 years since I have seen these two...way too long! We had a fun time catching up and watching our children be busy together. It was a short visit, but one that was very refreshing.



That night Mom and I were going to take the girls out for more shopping, but Mom ended up letting me go out...ALONE! 2 hours of ME time...shopping, with $$$$ from Nana and Bapa to spend on ME...only ME! It was a lot of fun I have to admit, but I was ready to see my girls when I got back!

It was a grrreat, exhausting day...

My Sweet Little Family's sweet little trip ~ day 2

9:00 AM

The girls decided that mommy didn't need to sleep in on this little vacation of ours, so they both woke up at 7 AM...a little early for my liking. Nana and Bapa were at work, so we had the house (and Sophie) to ourselves! Nana came and picked us up to go and have lunch with her. She just so happens to work at the High School that I went to, so it was very odd to walk those halls again. Mom got Lindy's Subs for us to eat...a very nice 'back home' treat! She had to keep working, so we got the car, and off we went shopping! Liv took a 2 1/2 hour nap in her car seat, so we were able to get a lot accomplished. We hit my favorite place that I don't have at home...Old Navy. In a previous post I said how I wanted to get matching "Where's my peeps?" shirts for my girls from there, and well, I did that! They were even on sale! YIPPIE! I'm sure we'll be taking some photos of those in the next week or two!

Back to Nana and Bapa's house with McD's french fries in tow, we hung out until Bapa got home from work. (the first picture below is Avery watching Bapa come home from work)

Later that night we all went out to eat at Rocky Rococo's...one of my favorite pizza joints! I was surprised to bump into a high school friend Jamie and meet her sweet little girls Jayln and Justice! SMALL WORLD! We then stopped at Target of course, another of my favorites that we don't see that often. Then off to see my Grandma at her 'home'.

I call it a 'home', because that's what it is. About 6 years ago, Grandma was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. She has been getting worse and worse each time we see her. She now is in a home where she lives with 12 other people with Alzheimer's. It is a sad sight to see her not at all like she used to be. Avery and Liv will never get to know the Grandma that I knew growing up. Avery slept through the visit. She must have been tuckered out from her big day...probably because she woke up at 7AM!

Back to Nana and Bapa's house we went. Avery and Bapa had a little date night in the basement. They watched a princess movie and had popcorn! What a treat! Then off to sleep we went, ready for another exciting day tomorrow!
