April and Dumpster Diving

April is here! We've been enjoying a little more outside time, and having the windows open more!

Before I get to the dumpster diving. here are some pics of my kiddos :)

Finn doesn't like the sunshine all that much. He chose to wear mommas big ol sunglasses to keep the sun out!

This was taken yesterday.....today, he is sick...I wonder if he was trying to tell me something ;)

Ok, now onto some FUN stuff! I have never been a dumpster diver before. We have curbside pick up in our town every April, and folks put out tons and tons of stuff. Then, the "crazies" come out to pick through the trash all week. Well, this year, I decided to be one of those "crazies". After the first day, I just kept going out! It's amazing the things folks decide to pitch, instead of sell...

Like this Little Tikes 8 in 1 climber....it was on the curb because there is a crack in one of the pieces. So, this went in the van....it took me about 30 minutes to figure out how to tetris the pieces in to fit it, but I did :) I'm going to give it a coat of spray paint, and then mr Finn has a new playset!

I found 2 of these adorandak chairs! Lots of chippy paint, but that doesn't scare me. They were a bit wobbly, but I tightened up the screws, and after some sanding and a new coat of paint, I think they will be beautiful! :)

A battery operated remote control car! Now, I haven't taken the batter in to see if it works yet, or what it would even cost to get this thing working, but it was so stinking cute, I couldn't leave it just sitting there! I have to give it a chance!!!
