end of April and onto May!!!

9:59 PM

Olivia's school is doing a countdown to the last day of school, and each day has a theme.  For ERA day, she chose to be a middle school girl in daddy's old gym uniform!  It was so so UGLY, but so so GREAT!!!

Kristin Chenoweth recently came to our town, and we took Avery's book over to the venue during the day, just to see if they could get her to sign it....along with a picture and letter from Avery.  Well, later that day, we found CHEAP tickets in a GREAT LOCATION, so Daddy and Avery actually got to go!  They loved it!  And, the next day, the venue called us to come get our book, and she DID IT! :)

I have been having a lot of fun with projects....daddy says I'm compulsive, but it's ok....i enjoy it!!!

I took these old awesome table legs, and turned them into.....

fun candle holder things :)

Got the paint on the chairs, and they are currently sitting on our deck finally!!! :)

Found this mirror at the restore in town, and I knew it would be a beautiful chalkboard!  I was right!!!  Can't wait to get some words on it!!!

I also found this gem while good-willing on my birthday (i am now 38).  I wanted something to put our medicines in that sit on the counter....

so far so good....the center oval is now a chalkboard as well :)

Last week, Finn was still sick.  I looked inside his ear, and I saw something white in there.  So, I borrowed an otoscope from our church friends, and sure enough....it was his tube that we had thought was out in his OTHER ear!  It was just sitting there in a big chunk of ear wax!  YUCK!

So, we needed to get that taken out, since it seemed to be causing him some pain.  He has also been showing signs of hearing loss again, since the tubes have come out.  So, we made an appt with his ENT to get the tube out and have a hearing test!

Well, his ear drum is not working, and he scored at mild to moderate hearing loss.  Next was his appt.  She took his tube out, but what I wasn't expecting was what she did see.  His tonsils are huge with bacteria growing on them.  His ears are full of fluid again, which is infected, again.  Plus, she noticed his itchy spots on his skin.  So, she called his surgeon in, and it was decided that he needed a couple things:  new T tubes, which are more permanent, and then his adenoids and tonsils removed, along with allergy testing.  I was not prepared at all for this, so I was kind of in disbelief.  After talking it over, we decided to do the surgery as soon as we could, which will be May 18th.  It lasts for only about 15-20 minutes, so i'm grateful that he won't be away from us for too long.  Just sad he has to go through all this....again :(

Me and some ladies from church have been planning a rummage sale, and last weekend was it!!!  SO much work, SO much time, SUCH sore hands/back, but it was SO fun, and a great success!!!

The girls had a pop/water stand and also sold some cookies as well! They made a nice bit of money!!

Finn got to come and work at the sale, and he loved playing camping with his friend Ethan!

When not doing garage sale stuff, I kept working on getting Finn's Little Tikes playground!  WAY too many cans of spray paint went into this makeover, and I am hoping the paint sticks!!!

His playhouse we scored off the curb also got redone, but so far that's been inside to enjoy! :)

He likes his new fun toy outside!!!

It's also Daddy's 43rd birthday today!  whoo hoo!

and tomorrow, I take Olivia to an orthodontic consult where they tell us how awful her teeth are and how much it's going to cost! ;)
