Nana and Bapa visit!

11:59 PM

After all the excitement of Nana and Bapa's surprise, the kiddos were pretty hyper!

Daddy was getting the bulletin ready for Sunday, and we were having fun with what different phrases we could put on the front....this is the only one that I can actually show :)

so much laughter!!!!!

Nana made us a big meal, and all you can hear Finn saying is "ep, ep" which means he wants to help!  Cooking with kids in the kitchen, especially toddlers, is so so much fun (not).

After supper on the 30th, Liv said she had planned a concert for us.  She was working on it all day, and made nice programs for all of us!

After his shyness went away, Finn went up and joined her as well!

"the stars in the sky..."

I told Avery I was going to snap a picture of her hair....it's so rats-nest-y in the back sometimes! yowza!

After the concert, we were back upstairs for Nana and Bapa to help with the gingerbread village!  I think next year we will use a glue gun, but it sure did turn out cute!

New Years Eve we went bowling!  It was Finn's first time, so watching him was a good time!

The restaurant at the bowling alley is a hidden gem in our town!  The kiddos chowed down on some yummy food after all their hard work bowling!

cheers to 2016!

back home, we painted some snowflake ornaments for our tree for next year!

And Liv did her makeup and Nanas too!  and Nanas hair!

Here us three are as the clock turned to 2017!!!

Looking forward to a wonderful NEW YEAR!

Today!

11:33 PM

Well, our night went pretty crummy.  little man had a high fever that I couldn't get down with tylenol.  He was a little shaky, very lethargic, and had a croupy cough.  I called right away to get him in to the dr....

They tested for strep, mono, and a general blood count.

He was negative for strep and mono, and his white blood cells showed that he was fighting something viral.  So, that and croup, and off we went home....

Nana Dianne and Bapa Craig had a surprise plan to come up and see the kiddos, and it was just so fun to see how it happened!

Daddy and I accidentally slipped up during the day, but we covered really good, so they didn't know they were coming today at all.  Liv did at one point call Nana just to ask when she was coming, and Nana wasn't sure....we told Liv it all depended on the weather!

When Nana and Bapa got into town, Nana called to talk to her again.  She asked Liv to go out and measure how much snow we had, so she could plan if they would come out or not.  So, Liv and I went out with the measuring tape, and Nana was talking to her on the phone, and just showed up behind her! :)

So fun!!!!  I love those kind of surprises!!!

Avery was taking her nap, so Nana crawled in bed with her to surprise her!  It was a fun surprise!

A-Town Christmas celebration

11:28 PM

We got in the car on the 27th to head up to Nana Judy and Bapa Ron's!  The weather was really cruddy on the 26th (when we were SUPPOSED to travel), so we decided to stay put for another day!

it was 2.5 hours of pure awesomeness ;)

Mr Finn started to feel crummy that morning, so he was pretty chill for the ride...

Nana and Bapa rented the pool area and a room next to the pool at their local YMCA.  The kiddos loved swimming, and most of the adults did too!

Finn didn't last very long....the ickies caught up with him, and he was cold and shaking, and wanted to get dressed.  Then, peed on me while I was holding him, and then fell asleep right on my lap...all things that are not like him.  He took a snooze...poor little guy!

Bapa Ron had a huge wonderful meal catered in so Nana Judy didn't have to be busy in the kitchen all day!  It was so so so yummy!!!

On to presents!  We had a fun time of gifting each other with presents!

I made this for Nana and Bapa this year....turned out pretty cute, and they enjoyed it!

All 9 of the grandkids on daddy's side!  Look at all those BOYS!!!

We took off and drove home after the celebration was done, which is a good thing, cause little Mr got even sicker.....
