Halloween

10:23 PM

Liv got a wubble bubble for her birthday!  And, a unicorn head!  ha!

The bubble popped the very next day....so, we're not too happy about the wubble bubble...

We had a sample makeup and outfit night for Halloween, and she turned out pretty good! ;)

Avery is also going to be selling nativities to earn money for choir trips and such, and we began painting!!!

and assembling!

Now, onto HALLOWEEN!!!

I was so thankful the day was here...finally!  to be DONE sewing and Done making costumes!  WHEW!

At the last minute, I decided how fun it would be for Winnie to come with us to Trunk or Treat!  I found some fabric, and whipped together a Dorothy costume with my glue gun! :)

On our way to Trunk or Treat!  Catniss, the Flash, and Maleficent!

I only took my phone, so these pics aren't the greatest, but they'll do!!!

It was REALLY REALLY cold outside.....and Liv was in charge of her under layers, and didn't dress quite warm enough!!! She made a good mad Maleficent!

Finn was also cold, but was a trooper!

And, Winnie just enjoyed not being inside the house, and being able to meet people!  We had to have her pose with this Trunk from OZ!!!

Catniss from Hunger Games! :)  Avery's costume was the easiest to put together!

Finn's....well.....3 helmets later, and 3 outfits later, and I was done!  SO OVER SEWING!!!

After Trunk or Treat, we went to our friends house, and took some better pics!!! :)

Our crazy crew!  I was a squid, and daddy was...well, just....Daddy....

After our friends house, we came back to the neighborhood, and went to 2 houses....it was just way too cold!!!!!

But, we did notice how awesome Liv looked in the shadows!!! :)

next year, I refuse to make homemade costumes......

Olivia's 11th Birthday!!!!!

10:06 PM

It's crazy to believe that Olivia is 11!

She wanted to have some friends over, and so that we did!  She was adamant that she wanted her party ON her REAL birthday, even though it was on a Tuesday night! :)

She had 5 girls come over, and it was a wild 3 hours.
It makes me so very thankful that birthdays are only once a year!!!
They sure enjoyed themselves, though!  And, so did Mr Finn!

We LOVE this girlie of ours, and look forward to celebrating her year after year! :)

more October!

9:57 PM

Avery had a choir concert, and I had a super cute date to go with!

We had GREAT seats....4th row center!

unfortunately, this boy was crazy....moving all around, sitting, standing, etc.

We did enjoy seeing our girl sing though!

Nana Judy and Bapa Ron came to visit and celebrate Olivia's birthday with us!  We went out for lunch, and then back to our house for a bit!

Our little tree keeps getting more and more leaves each year!

Finn thought it was a blast to jump in them!

Fall really is such a beautiful time of year!

Fall 'round here....

11:11 PM

we've been busy, and i feel like i have been going a mile a minute on projects for months!  House stuff, and now Halloween costumes!  Whew...I'm tired!

One of my projects, was this message center....needed for sure, to help my momma brain remember where my kids need to be!

This is how my dining room table looked for weeks.....knee deep in Halloween!

I had 3 injuries during this month, all self-inflicted....make that 4, when you count the door falling on my head....

Avery has been having a blast returning to high school, at least from the sound of things!  She has been keeping herself busy with school, and rehearsals for All State Choir, and the Fall Musical.

Livie brought home this funny paper.....it was too good not to share! :)

Finn goes to school, reluctantly, 3 mornings a week.  He has 3 girls and 1 boy in his class, and apparently he is the shyest.  Poor little guy....hope he will overcome that someday soon! :)

I was surprised last week when a member of our church showed up and had these roses for me!  It was for appreciation for being a Pastor's wife!  October also marks the beginning of our 14th year serving here at this church.

Back to those darn Maleficent horns.... the whole headpiece is just going to drive me over the edge!  I've done those horns 3-4 times already...

Finn's costume is coming along.  He's pleased, so that's all that matters (and not all the mismatched seams and horrible sewing).

My hands have been increasingly painful, so I went back in for a checkup.  Turns out I hadn't been to my doctor in 2 years, but it was time....we're still getting to the bottom of it, and I go back next week for some more testing....

We got to go to a beautiful wedding on Saturday!  It was at a Roman Catholic church, and the kiddos had never seen anything like it!

Avery was looking for the Hunchback, and I kept thinking the Phantom was going to pop out somewhere!

Avery also got her braces off on October 3rd, so she's enjoying all that comes with that!

Looks like I will be a monthly blogger from here on out!  ha!
