We returned last night from a fun-filled 5 days at Nana and Bapa's house! We had such a nice relaxing time. Here is our weekend in pictures.....

Nana and Bapa bought the a fun tent to have at their house for when the girls come! They LOVED it!

This is how I found the girls after our first day at Nana and Bapa's house....too cute!

Saturday we went to the Fair! What a fun fun time! Liv is OBSESSED with horses right now. She can't say "horse", but she can "neigh"....boy can she "neigh"... She was so excited to see a horse in person, and...she got to ride on it!!!

Avery decided to get in on the action as well! Can't just let Livvie have all the fun!

Next, the rides! Oh how fun! Avery was a little reluctant at first, but once she started, she didn't want to stop!

I was so laid back that day, that I also let Livvie go on some rides too! She LOVED it too!

I went on the helicopter ride with them. Oh joy.... Avery LOVED the dragon roller coaster!

I can't believe she wanted to go on it, but she had such a fun time! Look at her face!

Sunday morning brought church. It was nice to go to a different church, and hubby actually got to sit with me! It's nice that he can have some Sundays off to enjoy other churches as well. Don't the girls look super cute in their Target dresses? I LOVE Target!

Sunday night we went to Storybook Land with Aunt Rachelle and Uncle DJ. The girls had lots of fun sliding down the Jack and Jill slide!

And, for the grand finale of the trip....GO CARTS! I couldn't believe Avery wanted to go riding with Daddy! I agreed, and went too. When we started out, I thought Daddy would begin a little slow, but nope....he went out full force, and Avery LOVED every minute of it!

We're leaving tomorrow afternoon for a weekend away to Nana Judy and Bapa Ron's house. These photos of my girlies will have to do until I return next week! :)

My brother has an article on his blog today about Barack Obama and his feelings toward abortion. Here are a couple of points that I feel that you should know about him...

Avery had Kindergarten registration and school pictures today.

To say that it was like entering a foreign land that I had never been to would describe it quite well

People everywhere, tables for signing up for this and that, signs to read, and did I mention, oodles of forms to fill out?

Did you know that 5th graders get to wear lipstick and eyeshadow for picture day? I sure didn't!

I got the "Parent handbook", got talked into joining the PTA (gol, I'm a mom) and mingled with a couple 4th grade boys...

Avery smiled pretty for her pictures. Her hair was in curls, and the picture lady said she looked like Shirley Temple...can't tell you how many times I've heard that.

The good part, was that we got to go into Avery's classroom. Oh, it was so welcoming. She is going to just love it, I know.

There are all these little colored tables, play kitchen, and all the things you would imagine. The walls were covered with signs and charts.

Avery liked it so much that were only able to look for a couple minutes until we had to visit the bathrooms. Oh, and the bathrooms.....there are little paw prints from her room to the bathroom (a path she'll travel, oh, probably 10 times a day). The faucets, soap, and paper towels are all automatic...so cool!

I have a meeting next week with the Food service lady for the district as well as for the school. We're going to tackle how I'm going to go about feeding my child with allergies and food anxiety while she's at school. Should be pretty interesting....my child is so high maintenance! :)

There will also be a meeting with her teacher, the nurse, and all of her teachers to discuss her allergies and safety while at school. Not to mention, to hand out the epi-pens and allergy stuff for them to have on hand.

Today was an overwhelming day of preparing me for this new reality I'm having. My baby is going to be at school from 8-3 every day of the week. I can't believe I'm doing it. She's ready, she's excited, and I am too, I guess...

Avery's 10 week gymnastics session ended tonight. She has had a lot of fun learning many new skills, and she really enjoyed going. She will be going back next summer to the next class up!

Since I can't re-decorate my girls bedroom, or paint my room, paint the main bathroom, or really any other home improvement project (because hubby is in charge) , why not re-do the good ol' bloggie again! Hope you like...

It's Christmas for my girls nearly every day of the year, as my husband would tell you. I used to work in a 2nd hand store FULL of kids stuff, so I would come home with little treats here and there for the girls. Oh, how I love to buy kids stuff. Not only do I love to buy kids stuff, but I love it when my parents buy stuff FOR my kids. :)

I did another one of my crazy searches on craigslist.com, and about a month ago I found this beautiful swing set for sale. They were asking a little too much for it, but I emailed her anyhow and told her what I was willing to pay. A couple of emails back and forth, and it was ours! The only problem? It was 5 1/2 hours away in my parent's town. How on earth was I going to get the thing here?

My kind and generous parents agreed to go get it, dig it out of the ground, store it for a month in their garage, and then borrow my uncle's trailer to get it here....they went through 3 states, and arrived in our driveway on Thursday night.

What ended up as something that I was going to buy for my girls, ended up something that Nana and Bapa bought for the girls for Christmas. I paid for the gas to get it here (at least that's what they tell me).

I'm in love, with a swing set. So are the girls, and our neighbor boys love it too!
