rambling...

10:16 PM

today I started the moving process. in January I packed up a lot of our stuff for showing our house, so that part was done. today, I carried up about 25 Rubbermaid totes from our basement into our kitchen, and then carried all of them out to our garage. my back is aching and tomorrow i'm going to be sore. i tweeted a photo of some of the totes when they were sitting in the kitchen..

i have been all over our stinkin' town trying to get our barbie jeep to work again. i tried charging our battery in 3 different outlets, and then decided that i probably needed to get a new battery. ($55-ouch!) later, and still didn't work! DARN IT! So, took the old battery and the charger to a place here in town, and they told me that I needed a new charger. Okay then. took new battery back, purchased a new charger ($38-less ouch!). plugged that all in, and here we are about 6 hours later, and the battery is still blinking that it's dead. i am stumped, i have no clue what to do next, and i wish i could call my dad and ask him what's going on....grrrrr.... what a money pit.

Liv has been an adorable monster this week. she is going through some sort of faze where she is her own parent, and has her own agenda. this means running across a field at school away from me, wanting to be "all by myself" while walking in parking lots, not sitting in carts, and lots more that i can't think of right now. i'm not enjoying this stage at all, and i hope it leaves just as soon as it came.

our Awana ended last wednesday night for the school year. the girls did a great job memorizing scripture this year. watching Olivia say her verses was a big delight for me....

Avery has made a really good friend in school, that is a boy, and we couldn't be more pleased! They spend a lot of time together at school, and we even put her in the same swimming lesson class this summer. He comes from such a wonderful Christian home, and is being brought up to be such a kind boy. a rare find in 1st grade... bonus, we really like his parents too, so that is super swell! oh, and he has a sister around Liv's age! Avery wanted to take him out to lunch last week, so we met his mom and sister too, and had such a fun time....hopefully they will be assigned the same 2nd grade class...

i turned 31 on thursday. it was a great day. we had a babysitter watch the girls and hubby took me out to eat at a fancy restaurant here in town. yum yum. he's so nice, he's buying me a house for my birthday/anniversary this year...what a guy!

Avery got a part in her school concert coming up in a couple weeks. She gets to be a flower and has a couple lines. she's very excited, as she wants to be an actress when she grows up.

i think that's it for now. we're moving in like 10 days, and our house is chaotic and i will be glad when all this stuff is at the new house...not looking forward to that process...
